Note:
If the screws have been inadvertently loos-
ened too much, the cap can be removed from the
scope. To reinstall the cap, place it onto the turret,
turn it to zero, push it down to the “locked” position
and tighten the screw.
Reticle subtensions
The reticle in the MINOX ZP8 is found at the 1st focal
plane. This means that the reticle is magnified at the
same ratio as the target image and that the reticle
subtensions remain unchanged in relation to the image.
Independent of the magnification, the reticle can be used
to accurately determine range and trajectory compen-
sation. All available reticles are equipped with an
additional red dot illumination at the 2nd focal plane.
If the reticle illumination has been activated, the red dot
is automatically activated if the magnification has been
turned below 2.5x. The first three illumination levels are
designed for use with night vision devices, and the
highest levels for use in daylight.
Note:
The illumination at the 1st focal plane is
designed for twilight and nighttime use and not for
use in daylight.
MR10+
The MR10+ reticle in the ZP8 is equipped with special
ranging marks to quickly determine the range to targets
of known size. At ranges between 300 m and 800 m,
the distances can be determined directly and without
calculating, with a target width of 50 cm or target height
of 30 cm, 70 cm and 1 m.
