5. Accessing the internal parts
Most internal parts of MiR500 are accessed through maintenance hatches that open to
different compartments.
CAUTION
Opening or removing hatches from the robot exposes parts connected to the
power supply, risking damage to the robot from a short circuit and burns.

Before removing any covers, turn off the robot, and disconnect the
battery—see your robot's user guide for instructions on disconnecting the
battery.
5.1 Front compartment
To open the front compartment, follow these steps:
