The name of the output head is indicated on the display. In the case of a Kaleido-X (4RU) or
Kaleido-X (7RU), the card slot is also indicated. In the case of a cluster system, the name of the
originating multi-viewer also appears:
A room can only be saved once every display has been assigned an output head.
One output head cannot be assigned to more than one display at a time. When different displays are
assigned the same output head, if the displays are part of the same room, then XEdit will issue an error
message and prevent you from saving the room until the head assignment is corrected. However, to
facilitate room management, XEdit will let you assign the same head to displays that are located in
different rooms, but such conflicting assignments will be marked in red in the filtered System list
displayed in the
Tools
pane, and should be resolved by removing a conflicting display, or by deleting
the conflicting room:
