5. 5. Local Security Code
The contents of the 609 Register will contain the security code for entering programming mode
locally. Upon an off hook condition, the user dialled digits are screened. If the digits dialled by
the user are matched with the contents of this register, modem carrier tone will be presented.
Upon connection, modem programming mode is entered. If the modem fails to connect after
the specified time defined by the 011 Register (see page 36), the Dialer will enter MF4
programming mode. The user may then continue to program with an MF4 instrument.

Note: MITEL recommends entering a unique access code for programming access to the
Dialer.
