Trunk room
MAST ASSEMBLY WITH CABLE REPLACEMENT
(Motor antenna)
(1) Remove the ring nut.
(2) Switch ON the radio and operate the power antenna.
Pull out with the mast assembly fully extended.
(4) With the antenna fully extended, turn the rack cable gears
toward the trunk room as shown at left. Next, insert the
rack cable into the motor assembly.
NOTE
Be sure the rack cable tip is straight before inserting it into
the motor assembly, If the tip is not straight, correct as
shown.
(5) Turn the rack cable gears toward the rear of the vehicle
to the right) and engage the cable with the motor
gears.
NOTE
Pull the rack cable up gently. The rack cable gears are not
engaged with the motor gears if the cable comes out
smoothly. the gears are not engaged, check the cable
tip again to be sure it
IS
straight, then repeat
and (5).
(6) Raise the antenna pole vertically. Switch OFF the radio
switch and wind in the rack cable. Insert the antenna pole
to the motor side as the cable is being wound in.
(7) Mount the shield pipe onto the antenna pole.
(8)
and mount the ring nut onto the shield pipe.
Then, after tightening the ring nut at the specified torque
(refer to
switch the radio switch ON and OFF to
house the antenna pole.
