Appendix 7 Exposure Time, Gain Factor, and Image Filtering
Click the [Add] button and select a filter type to use from "Filter Properties" to set the filter parameters.
Set an image to use for reading codes.
Original: Read an acquired image.
Filtered: Read a filtered image.
(In this example, the set filtered image is used for reading DataMatrix codes.)
By selecting a code to be read for "No Read Image" (DataMatrix in this example), a filtered image is displayed even when
code reading is failed.
<Frequently used filter types>
Dilate: An image with a bright part being dilated.
Erode: An image with a dark part being dilated.
Stretch: To enlarge a difference of brightness and darkness of an image. When increasing the 'Low' value, the gray color in
the image will become closer to black. When decreasing the 'High' value, the gray color will become closer to white.
