INSPECTION CHART FOR TROUBLE SYMPTOMS
If there are trouble symptoms even though the results of inspection using the MUT-
II
show that all
diagnosis codes are normal, inspection procedures for each trouble symptom will be found by means
of this chart.

Connect the MUT-

to the diagnosis connector and take a
reading of the diagnosis codes.
Caution
Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK (OFF) position before
connecting or disconnecting the MUT-
II
.
METHOD OF ERASING DIAGNOSIS CODES
WHEN USING THE MUT-
II
Connect the MUT-
II
to the diagnosis connector and erase the diagnosis code.
Caution
Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting the MUT-
II
.
WHEN NOT USING THE MUT-
II
1.
Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK (off) position.
2.
After disconnecting the battery cable from the negative (±) battery terminal, wait for 10 seconds or
more and reconnect the cable.
3.
Warm up the engine and run at idle for about 15 minutes.
