To install the Femoral Hook and Femoral Hook Support:
1.
Once the patient has been properly positioned and secured to the table, insert the sterilized
Femoral Hook Support in the operative-side Femur Lift.
CAUTION: Do not use excessive force when mounting the Femoral Hook Support on the
Femur Lift. Use of excessive force (e.g., hammering with a mallet) may compromise the integrity of
the Femoral Hook Support.
2.
Insert the sterilized left or right Femoral Hook in one of the notches on the Femoral Hook
Support. Select the notch based on the size and position of the patient that will allow the
Femoral Hook to support the femur on the operative side during the procedure (Figure 49).

3.
Use the Femur Lift Foot Pedal to raise or lower the height of the Femur Lift as needed. Press
the left side of the Foot Pedal to raise the Femur Lift. Press the right side of the Foot Pedal to
lower the Femur Lift. (See Section 6.10 for more information.)
