Check belt for proper tension if ten-
sion is correct, go to Step P (Proper
tension is approximately 1/8-inch
deflection of the belt).

Locate the four lower motor
Mounting Bolts on both ends of
the CX-3E1 motor and loosen.

Locate the upper motor mounting
nuts on both ends of the CX-3E1
motor and loosen.
CX-3E1 MAINTENANCE
(G)
Loosen the Motor Tension
Arm. Push the Motor forward to
loosen the belt.
(H)
Remove the old belt from the
Engine and Blade Shaft Pulleys.
(I)
Clean and verify the alignment
of the Engine and Blade Shaft
Pulleys.
(K)
Verify the belt is seated in all
grooves of the Engine and Cut-
ting Drum Pulleys.
(L)
Tighten the Motor Tension Arm.
(J)
Obtain and install a new
belt onto the Engine Blade
Shaft Pulleys
