2 LEVEL REPEATER
Installation & Operating Instructions
This repeater is used to increase the range between Echo transmitters
and receivers. In
1
-level operation, a radio signal received from a
transmitter will be passed on to the respective receiver. In 2-level
operation a radio signal can be passed over a maximum of two
repeaters to a receiver! The repeater is factory preset for
1
-level
operation when delivered.
SAFETY:
CAUTION! 230V, Danger of electrical shock!
Always
disconnect the electricity supply before commencing work on
the installation.
The device should be installed by a competent person or a qualified
electrician in accordance with the device’s installation instructions and
the appropriate current national wiring regulations.
It is essential that all connections are made as instructed, that cables are
not stressed and that terminals are fully tightened.
Screwless terminals must not have more than one cable inserted into
each terminal.
The mains supply to this product must be protected by an appropriate
fuse or MCB.

RF RANGE:
The strength of the radio signal between the transmitter and switching
receiver weakens as distance increases. The range can be further
reduced by different materials or interference sources in the propagation
direction of the radio waves. The range can be increased by the use of
Echo Repeaters (radio amplifiers).

INSTALLATION:
Important:
This device should be installed into a flush mounted
installation box.
It should be installed in an area between the Echo sender and receiver.
Radio signals received from the sender can then be optimally passed on
to the receiver.
• Install flush-mounted installation box in a suitable position.
• Protect power supply cable with a circuit breaker or fuse (max. 10A)
• Install the connecting wires.
• Insert the device into the flush-mount installation box and screw-
fasten it securely in place.
• Affix the blind cover (Art. no.: xx.477.xx) to the device.
Note:
NEVER install the repeater in a metal housing or in the immediate
vicinity of large metal objects. Installation close to floor level or on the
floor is not recommended.
Commissioning
• Switch on electric power after installation.
•
The repeater is factory preset for 1-level operation when delivered.
Change the repeater to 2-level operation if this is desired.
