H6 Signal LED “Earth Fault“ (Insulation Fault)
The MB7500-110 systems are equipped with a high-performance
protective measure, the “IT system with insulation monitoring and
indication and/or disconnection“. This measure complies with standard
DIN VDE 0100-410 [indication] and DIN VDE 0100-717
[disconnection], and guarantees the highest possible level of protection
against dangerous electrical current. The core of this system is an
integrated insulation monitoring function, which permanently monitors
the insulation resistance between the active phase conductor and PE
(earth). If an insulation fault occurs (for example through a defective
device, which is plugged into a socket), the signal LED “H5“ligths up
and/or the system is going to be disconnected. The fault message gets
stored. Pushing the master on/off-switch on the control panel MB6001F
will reset the fault signal.
If, after the restart, the signal LED “H6“ Earth
Fault“ lights up again, an insulation fault has
occurred within the MobiE system. Please let a
qualified and electrically skilled person inspect all
line links and consumers.
S2 Test-button “Earth Fault“
Pushing this button will test, if the insulation monitoring function is
working. To perform this function you need to keep this button pushed
until the signal LED H5 “Earth Fault“ lights up. To avoid pushing this
button accidentally, the button is recessed. To conduct the test, you
need to use a tool (for example a pen, etc.).
It is recommended to conduct this test each time,
before putting the system into operation!
