8" front wheels
The wheelchair is equipped with PU wheels 200x50 mm as standard. We recommend to
stay with this type of tyres, but it is also possible to use pneumatic tyres. It is possible to
mount different sizes of front wheels. This is made necessary by adjusting the rear axles
(see also the table below). If the vertical position of the rear wheels is changed, it is
necessary to adjust the position of the front wheels accordingly. The vertical axis of rotation
of the fork should always be set at a 90° angle to the ground (+/- 2°). It is possible to adjust
the desired angle by turning the eccentric screw (1).
If the adjustment range needs to be larger, it may be necessary to move the front wheel
axle to another hole (A, B, C, D) by loosening the screw (2) and moving the wheel up or
down to the desired height and tightening it again. In some cases it may be necessary to
replace the standard front wheels (8") with a wheel of a different size (6" or 7"). The table
below shows the possible wheel positions. It provides a clear overview of seat heights, rear
wheel positioning holes, correct front wheel sizes and positions.
