Folding up the armrests
●
This feature can help make it easier for the user to get in and out of the Kakadu toilet and bath chair.
●
Raising the armrests makes it easier to perform personal hygiene while showering.
●
Never leave the Kakadu toilet and slanted armchair unattended when a person is using it.
●
To raise the armrest, tilt the armrest backwards by lifting it at the front.
●
To return the armrest to its original position, simply tilt it forward again until it is firmly horizontal for use.
Removing and fitting the footplates
●
This feature, together with the high foldable
footplates, can make it easier for the user to get in
and out of the shower stall wheelchair It also allows
for easier personal hygiene while showering.
●
Do not move the wheelchair with the footrests
removed when a person is using it. When moving the
chair, always place the user's feet on the footrests.
●
To release and remove the footplates, press down on
the lock handle with your thumb and turn the
footplates outwards.
●

Grasp the dismantled footrest tube by the top tube
and pull it upwards out of the front frame (image right).

To refit and secure the footrests, insert them into the hole on the front frame and turn them inwards until the
locking lever engages again.
Adjusting the footrests to the desired height
●
The height of the toilet and bath seat footrests must be adapted to the user.
●
The height is correctly adjusted when the user sits on the wheelchair, the thighs rest
correctly on the seat and both feet rest on the footrests.
●
To adjust the height of the footrests, remove them from the toilet and bath seat.
●
Adjust the height of the footrests by opening the flap (picture) on the footrests and then
moving the inner tube of the outer tube up or down.
●
Close the flap on the footrests again.
Adjusting the desired seat height
The seat height must be adapted to the user. The chair is correctly adjusted when the
user sits on the chair with both feet on the floor.
Adjust the seat height only when no one is sitting in the chair.
To adjust the seat height, remove screw A. Now the telescopic tube can be moved with
the 5" wheel in the frame and can be adjusted in height (4 positions)
When the desired height is reached, reinsert the bolt into hole A or B (depending on the
height) and secure with the corresponding nut.
Always set all 4 telescopic tubes at the same height!
If the chair is equipped with 24" rear wheels (optional), the height of the axles of the 24"
wheels must be adjusted so that the seat is flat and horizontal.
