b) Function "2:D/R", Dual-Rate
The dual-rate setting ("D/R") can be used to change the servo travel on the
steering servo by pressing the "ST.D/R" button (see fig 1, pos 7).
For example, for slow driving there is a maximum of 100% steering extension
available (max steering extension). For fast driving, the maximum steering
extension can be reduced to 70% by pressing "ST.D/R".
This allows the vehicle to be driven better at high speeds as it reacts more
sensitively.
This setting has an effect on both sides of the servo path (see fig 19).
Proceed as follows:
• From within the main menu (see fig 5) press the "ENTER" button, then you
can use the "+" or "-" buttons to select the "2:D/R" function (fig 17).
• Then press the "ENTER" button again to reach the settings menu (fig 18).
• You can use the "ENTER" button to switch between "POS0" and "POS1".
The base setting for "POS0" is 100% and "POS1" is 70%, see fig 19.
As is easy to recognise, the servo now only turns 70% of its extension when
the steering wheel is fully turned (see fig 1, pos 4).
• As usual, the value can be adjusted between 0% and 120% with the "+" and "-" buttons.
A setting below 50% is not very logical as the servo travel will be too low and the turning circle will
become enormous!
• Exit the settings menu with the "EXIT" button, the settings are automatically saved.
