c) Function "3:S_TRIM", Servo Centre Setting
When installing the servos, the model manufacturer usually prescribes the exact
central position for the servo levers.
However, the cogs on the servo lever may not always allow the exact positioning
of the servo lever if the operating levers and the corresponding trim are in
central position at the transmitter.
In this case the display (see fig 5 for example) will not show the trimming as
sitting in the middle when the vehicle is driving straight. This limits the trim
travel, you cannot use the full trim distance in both directions.
Using the servo centre setting (Sub-trim function "S_TRIM") you can remove
the anomaly.
In addition the trim-display (see fig 5) will sit directly in the middle when the
vehicle is travelling straight, which allows easier estimation of straight course
and makes clear any possible trimming required.
Settings can be made for the steering servo ("ST") and the gas servo ("TH").
Proceed as follows:
• From within the main menu (see fig. 5) press the "ENTER" button, then you
can use the "+" or "-" buttons to select the "3:S_TRIM" function (fig 20).
• Then press the "ENTER" button again to reach the settings menu (fig 21).
• You can use the "ENTER" button to switch between "ST" and "TH". The default setting is "0" for each.
• The value can be adjusted between -100 and +100 with the "+" and "-" buttons.
• Exit the settings menu with the "EXIT" button, the settings are automatically saved.
