e) Function "5:ST CURV", Exponential Setting for Steering Servo
With the help of the exponential function, you can change the linear coupling
between the controller and the servo path in the central position.
The maximum possible servo deflection (full servo extension setting) is not
limited by the setting of the exponential function.
If the exponential share is increased, the servo movements are stronger in the
range of the central position (fig 27, A).
If the exponential share is decreased, the servo movements are weaker in the
range of the central position (fig 27, B), this would allow more sensitive steering
in the central position (larger steering angle on the steering wheel, smaller
steering angle on the servo).
The setting 0% makes the servo travel simply linear, see fig 25.
Proceed as follows:
• From within the main menu (see fig. 5) press the "ENTER" button, then you
can use the "+" or "-" buttons to select the "5:ST CURV" function (fig 24).
• Then press the "ENTER" button again to reach the settings (fig 25).
• The exponential value can be adjusted (settings range -100% to +100%) by pressing the "+" and "-" buttons.
• Exit the settings menu with the "EXIT" button, the settings are automatically saved.
Practical tip:
Set a negative value for the steering (see fig 27, B) to have better fine-control over the model while
driving straight at high speed.
