i) Function "9:SPEED", Servo Turn and Return Speed
This function lets you optimally tune the speed of the steering servo and the
gas-/brake servo to your model to prevent oversteering or understeering.
When entering curves too slow, the model may understeer and can no longer
follow the curve path (see fig 63, sketch A). If the model turns too fast at the
same time as having too large a steering travel, it may easily oversteer and the
tail may hang/spin out (see fig 63, sketch B). The model can only pass through
the curve on the ideal line if the turning speed is adjusted optimally in conjunction
with the steering travel (see fig 63, sketch C).
Besides the turning speed (fig 64, A), it is also possible to adjust the
return speed (fig 64, B) for the steering servo separately.
Axis name:
S = Servo path
t = Time
Only the speed setting for the servo travel while accelerating can be set for the gas / braking servo. This
means there is no unwanted delay occurs during braking!
