a) Inserting the batteries/rechargeable batteries
As power supply, the transmitter requires 8 AA alkaline batteries or rechargeable batteries.
For ecological and economical reasons it is recommended to use rechargeable batteries, since they can be recharged in the trans-
mitter through the built-in charging socket.
To insert the batteries, please proceed as follows:
The battery compartment lid (1) is located on the back of the trans-
mitter. Push down the corrugated area (2) and push off the lid down-
wards. Now insert eight AA batteries or rechargeable batteries in the
battery compartment.
Always make sure the polarity of the batteries is correct. The negative
terminal (housing) of the battery or rechargeable battery must touch
the spiral spring (3).
Then slide the lid of the battery compartment back on and let the lock-
ing mechanism click into place.
b) Charging the rechargeable batteries of the transmitter
When using rechargeable batteries, you can attach a charging cable to the charging
socket (1)
to charge the rechargeable batteries in the transmitter.
The charging current must not exceed 200 mA.
Always make sure the polarity of the connecting plug is correct.
The inner contact of the charging socket must be connected to the positive terminal (+)
and the outer contact to the negative terminal (-) of the charger.
The charging current should correspond to approximately 1/10 of the capacity value of
the inserted rechargeable batteries.
With rechargeable batteries with a capacity of 2000 mAh, the charging current will be
approximately 200 mA and the charging time about 14 h.
