II. Monthly Maintenance for a Grease Filters 
IMPORTANT: 

Cleaning  the  filter  can  prevent  the  risk  of  fire.  Filter  captures  grease,  smoke  and  dust  that

filters  directly  affect  the  efficiency  of  the  cooker  hood.  If  it  is  not  cleaned,  the  residual  grease  (potentially 
flammable) will accumulate in the filter. Clean it with household detergents.

III. Maintenance for Carbon Filters

Attach a carbon filter on the unit to be used with a recirculation system (not the ducting system). This filter 
should be replaced at least every three months or depends on how often the use of cooker hood.

Problem and Solutions

Please perform checking procedure on the following things before contacting MODENA service center 
when troubleshooting occurs:

PROBLEM

Reduced suction 
power.

Motor stop working 
after a while.

CAUSE

Dirty aluminum / acrylic filter 
Dirty carbon filter.

Safety thermal regulator is active.

SOLUTION

Clean the aluminum filter, dry it and 
place it back on the vent hood.

Replace the carbon filter foam with a 
new one.

The vent hood is installed too close to 
the stove.

Air circulation is not optimal.

Contact MODENA Service Center.

Light on, but fan 
does not work.

Both light and fan 
do not work.

Serious Vibration of 
the unit.

Suction

The fan blade is jammed.

The motor is damaged.

LED Light is burn

Power cord looses

The fan blade is damaged.

The fan motor is not fixed tightly.

The unit is not hung properly on the

Take down the unit and check whether 
the bracket is in proper location.

Readjust the distance to 65 - 75cm.
