MODENA cooker hood specifically designed for long term use so that it does not require complicated
maintenance. However, there are some things that are recommended to take care of your cooker
hood so that the quality is maintained.
Turn off the unit and unplug the power cord from the power source before cleaning.
I. Regular care
Use a soft cloth dampened with a mixture of warm water and mild soap or household detergent.
Do not use metallic pads, chemicals, abrasive materials or a stiff brush to clean the unit.
II.
Monthly Maintenance for a Grease Filters
IMPORTANT:
Cleaning the filter can prevent the risk of fire.
Filter captures grease, smoke and dust that filters directly affect the efficiency of the cooker hood.
If it is not cleaned, the residual grease (potentially flammable) will accumulate in the filter. If the
filter is located inside the support grid, could be one of the filters used is one of the following types:

Filter paper should be replaced once a month or if the color appears on the top side, in this
case the colors arise through the grid gap.

Metal filters should be cleaned once a month, with a non-abrasive detergent, by hand or
dishwasher gpada low temperature and short cycle. When washed in a dishwasher, the grease
filter may discolour slightly, but this does not affect the performance of the filter.

To remove grease filter, open grid through P hooks and remove the stopper R1 and R2.

The support Metal Filters are not part of the support grid, pull the latch to release the spring-
loaded filter P4.

Carbon
Filter
Install the carbon filter on the suction hood to be used with a recirculation system (not the ducting
system). This filter should be replaced at least once a year or depending on how often the hood is
used.
Carbon filters can not be washed or regenerated. Carbon filter on the suction hood you, it could be
one of the following types:

Rectangular S1 or S2 or S3:
Mounting (S1 or S2) : insert
the rear side T and hook
further to the front (U).
Mounting (S3): Remove the
cover W by rotating the O
knobs to 90° ,fit the filter
inside and lock in place with the central knob O, then close the cover. Proceed in the inverse
for dismounting.
