Buick Rendezvous
Installation Procedure
1.
Installation is the reverse of the above steps.
2.
Clean the BPMV surface with alcohol using a
clean rag.
3.
Install the EBCM to the BPMV.
4.
Install the 6 screws that attach the EBCM to
BPMV. Tighten the top 4 mounting screws to
5
Nm (44 inch lbs.).
Tighten screws in an X
pattern. Tighten the bottom 2 mounting screws to
5 Nm (44 inch lbs.).
5.
Install the master cylinder to the brake booster.
6.
Install the master cylinder mount nuts (1).
Tighten the 2 nuts to
25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
7.
Connect the pump motor connector to the bottom
of the EBCM.
8.
Connect the EBCM harness connector and
depress the locking tab to secure.
9.
Install the air cleaner housing.
10.
Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position, do
not start engine.
11.
Perform the Diagnostic System Check - ABS.
