Register Retry Interval On Failure:
If user information is not registered in the Registrar server, “No
Service” is displayed on the user phone and call cannot be made. In this case, IP-330 and IP-336
automatically try re-registration at the pre-configured interval and set the trial interval.
♦
SIP T1 Timer , SIP T2 Timer, SIP MAX. Transaction Timer :
sets the interval at which the handset retries
registration when there’s no response from the server to registration and call connection signals. If the first
trial of registration fails, T1 is incrementally doubled until T2. After T2 is reached, retrials are made at the
interval of T2. However, the whole processes of T1 and T2 shouldn’t exceed the time set for the Max.
Transaction timer. This feature is according to the standard specification and the configuration also follows it.
Ex)
When SIP T1 Timer = 0.5 sec, SIP T2 Timer = 8 sec, SIP MAX. Transaction Timer = 32 sec,
-> The retrial inverval when registration and call connection fails – 0.5s, 1s, 2s, 4s, 8s, 8s, 8s = 32s
If the preset time is passed, the above procedure is repeated. This repeats until the server turns back on.
If registration is not done normally with the server returning a message such as 404 (Not found) and 407
(Proxy Authentication Required), regisgtration is retried at the interval set for the registration failure case.
T-timer is not in operation in this case because it operates only when there’s no response from the server.
♦
DNS Cache :
The DNS is used when the domain is used as the address of the server , and in this case
whether to cache the domain address in the handset is determined. It reduces the inconvenience of having
to send DNS queries to the domain.
사용 안함: Do not use the feature.
Always: Do not reuse the query the address that was already cached by a query.
In One Call: Query to the domain only once when sending a call. This resolves the issue of the
server address being changed due to multiple-query generation for one call from the handset.
♦
SIP Session Timer :
The SIP provides the Session Timer feature which terminates the call to prevent an
abnormal state of call connection. The call states are checked at a regular interval. MAX, MIN, FORCE, etc.
vary depending on the operation environment and in some cases are not used, so they need to be
configured according to the operation environment of the service provider.
