5.2.1 More about the Steps followed during the Normal
Homing Sequence
The following is a brief sequence of how the Stroke value is observed,
calculated and displayed.
1. The plate moves to the fully-closed hard stop.
2. The rotational motor encoder count is captured into memory.
3. The plate moves to the fully-opened hard stop.
4. The rotational motor encoder count is captured into memory.
5. Finally, the plate moves to the fully closed hard stop.
6.
The difference of the two hard stop positions is calculated.
7.
The difference is divided by the entered Degrees per Millimetre value.
8. The result is the calculated plate travel.
9.
If the calculated plate travel is different from the current Maximum Stroke
value then the confirmation dialog is displayed. If it is within 1/10 of a
millimetre then the dialog is not shown. Homing is successful.
NOTE
If you want the dialog to show change the Degrees per Millimetre value and
re-home.
5.2.2 Home Sequence for Homing to Closed-Position Only
1. Plate moves to fully closed hard stop.
2. No stroke check is performed
NOTE
When using this option for homing it is important to input an accurate Gear
Ratio.
