alaDDIn™ SyStem (optIonal)
The Aladdin system
is designed to monitor
various chassis and house
information. This allows
the operator to make
informed decisions regarding
motorhome operation.
Chassis information comes from the engine and
transmission electronics. House information
is obtained from a number of sensor modules
distributed throughout the motorhome.
The Aladdin™ system also automatically
selects one of a number of cameras that can
be used to aid the driver. When the system is
turned ON, placing the transmission in reverse
will cause the backup camera to be selected. For
motorhomes equipped with the optional three
camera system, activating a turn signal will
select the corresponding side camera.
Joystick Module:
The Joystick Module is the operator interface
to the Aladdin™ system. Multiple joystick
modules may be attached to the Aladdin™.
The joystick allows the operator to control
cursor movements. Push the joystick to the
right to enter a screen; push the joystick to the
left to return to the previous screen. Push the
joystick up or down to scroll through or change
information.
LED Indicator:
An LED provides system-on power indication.
The LED blinks when the joystick is moved
indicating that the joystick command has been
transferred to the Aladdin™ controlled module.
During normal operation, the LED will blink
about every 5 seconds.
Operations:
The Aladdin™ is turned on with the
motorhome ignition switch or the joystick. To
turn the system on with the joystick, move the
joystick in any of the four positions.
The Aladdin™ powers down when ignition
is turned off, unless the operator selects the
Aladdin™ to remain on.
Main Menu
When the Aladdin™
is powered up, the
Main Menu appears.
The operator can
choose any item by
moving the joystick
up or down. An arrow
indicates the current
menu item. Press the
joystick right to select that menu item. Press the
joystick left to return to the previous screen.
NOTE
Interior 12 Volt DC house power must
be on for the Aladdin™ screen to be
displayed.
Coach Info
Coach Info
enables the operator to access
screens displaying current available engine and
transmission data. Compass heading, time, and
temperature are displayed on each screen.
By moving the joystick to the right the backup
camera will display, press right again to access
the engine/transmission screens.
There are five
engine/transmission
screens each
displaying four
parameters of data.
A sixth screen
displays outside and
basement temperature.
The screens are
automatically scanned approximately every six
seconds.
Move the joystick up or down to move through
the screens and disable automatic scanning.
Move the joystick right to resume automatic
scanning. Move the joystick left to return to
the previous screen. A left/back movement will
return to the backup camera; and another left/
back movement will return to the Main Menu.
NOTE
The Coach Info screen is the only screen,
other than Select Video Source, that
allows access to the backup camera or
optional three camera system.
