Current
potentiometer
value

Two short beeps are heard and the
calibration is complete.
The ergometer is ready to use.

Next calibration point

Check the potentio-
meter value at 0 kp.

•

Reset the scale, see "Scale adjustment”

•

Release the brake belt tension by lifting the
pendulum over 4 kp (the engine runs).
The brake belt tension can also be slack-
ened
by running the engine manually. This is done
by pressing (-) in the calibration mode.

Move the pendulum to
the corresponding value
and keep it steady until
the potentiometer value
stabilized.

Press ENTER for next
step.

Repeat according to the
pictures to the right.

Press START STOP

and

 PROGRAM for

two seconds to enter
'Calibration mode'.

If you have started the calibration mode but

change your mind, you can press START

STOP

to exit without saving

But, if you have pressed ENTER, the calibration rou-
tine has started and must then also be completed.

Calibration is necessary so that the electronic and the mechanical parts of the ergometer conform.
Normally, you do not need to re-calibrate the ergometer electronically, but it should occur after each
service, replacement of the electronics part, movement or if the scale is adjusted.
New calibration automatically replaces the old one.

CALIBRATION

All ergometers are calibrated at the factory, but a
calibration of the pendulum can still be made if necessary.
Do as follow:

•

At first, follow the instructions in section "Scale
adjustment". Adjust the pendulum if necessary.

•

Loosen the calibration hook from the hook holder,
see

Fig: Calibration 2.

•

A checked and approved weight, 4 kg (Art. No:
9000-211), attached to the calibration hook, see

Fig:

Calibration 2.

•

When properly adjusted, the weight should be read on
the pendulum scale at the 4 kp line. (The pendulum
pointer should be in the middle of the 4 kp line.)

•

Lift off the calibration weight and replace the
calibration hook in the hook holder, see

Fig: Normal

mode.

NOTE! The hook must be in the holder when

using the ergometer.

If the pendulum pointer does not stand in the middle of
the 4 kp line the pendulum weigh must be adjusted by
means of the adjusting weight. To be able to do this the
left cover must be removed.

To adjust the position of the adjustment weight, the
locking screw, in the center of the pendulum, must be
loosened, see

Fig: Calibration 1.

If the pointer shows too low, the adjustment weight must
be moved upwards. If the pointer shows too high, the
adjustment weight must be moved down and then locked
in its new position. This process is repeated until pointer
is in the correct position.

Check the calibration of the pendulum once a year or
when needed.

Error message: CalErr -
the potentiometer value
is outside the window.

service.

NOTE!

It does not have to be
the same values as
shown here as they
should only be seen as
examples.
