Cruiser
There are many things to consider to make your boating trip safe and
enjoyable. This section includes a safety checklist, boarding guidelines, boat
loading, and capacity information.
The contents of this section should be read and understood before casting
off. Remember, if you have a problem during your cruise, you can’t get out
and fix it, or walk to safety or for help.
You are responsible for the safety of all passengers, the boat, and any
damage the boat or its wake may cause. Always keep passengers from
blocking your view so that you do not run into other boats, swimmers, water
skiers, personal water vehicles, or aids to navigation.
SAFETY CHECKLIST
The following checks are essential to safe boating and must be performed
before starting the engine. Get in the habit of performing these checks in the
same order each time so that it becomes routine.
DO NOT launch the boat if any problem is found during the
Safety Check. A problem could lead to an accident during the
outing causing severe injury or death. Have any problem
attended to immediately; see your dealer.
