WARNING
OPERATING THE BOAT UNDER POWER WITH THE TRANSOM
DOOR OPEN MAY ALLOW PERSONS TO FALL OVERBOARD
AND INTO BOAT PROPELLERS OR TO BE LOST IN OPEN
WATER. ALWAYS CHECK TO MAKE SURE THE TRANSOM
DOOR IS PROPERLY CLOSED AND SECURED BEFORE
STARTING THE ENGINES AND NEVER OPERATE THE BOAT
UNDER POWER WITH THE TRANSOM DOOR OPEN.
Cockpit Storage Compartments
A Compartment for the stereo and storage for
small items is located in starboard side of the
cockpit, just forward of the battery switch panel.
Additional compartments are located next to the
helm and on the port side of the cockpit.
Aft Storage Compartment Access
The aft storage compartment hatch and sunpad
is raised by an electric actuator controlled by a
switch in the helm switch panel. The actuator rais-
es the hatch and supports it in the open position.
The outboard engines must be tilted down and
the transom/battery switch panel door secured
against the battery switch panel before opening
the engine hatch.
If the electric actuator system fails, the hatch can
be raised manually by disengaging the actuator
from the hatch. To lift the hatch manually, open the
aft storage compartment on the port side of the
sunpad. Then reach over the storage compartment
bulkhead and remove the quick release pin in the
hinge fitting at the top of the actuator.
Once the pin is removed, the hatch can be lifted to
the open position. The hatch is heavy and requires
two people to lift it. Additionally you should be
prepared to support the hatch in the open position
with 2 x 4’s of the proper length. The supports
must be installed so that they can’t slip and allow
the hatch to fall. Properly attach the repaired or
replaced actuator to the hull and hatch before
performing any other service to components in
the compartment.
