How to Use
Cleaning & Care
Before first use
,
set the browning dial to 6 and run toaster through one toasting
cycle WITHOUT bread, to burn off any factory residue.
1. Plug toaster into electrical outlet.
2. Open serving tray.
Note:
THE TOASTER WILL NOT OPERATE WHEN THE SERVING TRAY IS
CLOSED!
3. Place a maximum of 2 slices of bread or both halves of a bagel into slot.
(Place bagel in toaster with cut side to the front.)
4. Set the browning control knob to desired setting.
5. If toasting a bagel, or other food item for which you only want only one side
toasted, press BAGEL.
6. Press the toast carriage lever down until it locks into place. The light on the
CANCEL button will illuminate. Toasting can be stopped at any time by pressing
CANCEL.
7. When toasting is complete, the internal rack will automatically open and the
food will slide down on to the serving tray.
8. If toasting additional foods, allow a few seconds for the internal rack to close
before putting new foods into the slot.
9. When finished using the toaster, unplug cord from electrical outlet.
Note:
Clean toaster on a regular basis; DO NOT allow bread crumbs to
accumulate.
1. Turn off and unplug the appliance.
2. Always allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning.
3.
DO NOT immerse any electrical appliance, its cord, or its plug, into
water.
4. DO NOT use abrasive brushes or pads, or harsh cleaning solutions.
5. Remove the serving tray by opening, then push in on the tab on each side to
pull tray free. Hand wash the tray in warm, soapy water and dry completely.
6. Turn toaster upside down over a trash can or sink and shake out loose crumbs.
7. Clean the exterior surface by wiping with a soft, damp cloth.
8. Replace the serving tray before using toaster.
WARNING: Toaster pastries and tarts can ignite if overheated. Use the
lowest browning setting and closely supervise the toaster.
WARNING: If food becomes lodged in toaster:
1. Unplug toaster from electrical outlet.
2. Wait for toaster to cool before touching.
3. Turn toaster upside down and shake to dislodge.
