Operating instructions
Extension cable
Double insulated tools have two-core cables and can be used with two-core or three-core extension cables. Only
use sheathed extension cables. If the extension is used outdoors, the cable must be suitable for work outdoors. Any
cable that is marked for usage outdoors can also be used for work indoors. For safety reasons an extension cable
must have a suitable wire diameter or a suitable wire size (AWG – American Wire Gauge) to protect against power
loss and overheating. If you use more than one extension cable, ensure each cable is of at least the minimum wire
diameter required.
Before you use an extension cable, you must check it for loose or bare wires, as well as damaged insulation or
faulty cable connections. Perform all necessary repairs or replace the complete cable if necessary before you use it.
6.1 Servicing
Warning
Ensure the tool is switched off and unplugged before you inspect it or service it.
Servicing
This tool should only be serviced by trained repair specialists for electrical tools or other qualified service personnel
for tool.
Cleaning
After use, clean dust from the motor housing and particularly the fan by blowing off with compressed air. This regu-
lar servicing action protects against the residue from the abrasion and dust settling on surfaces inside the tool and
thus reducing the performance of the motor and the cooling by the fan.
