7.3 Maintenance work
7.3.1 Cleaning the device
NOTICE!
Risk of material damage from improper
cleaning!
The use of non-approved cleaning agents
or cleaning methods can cause damage to
the device.
– Never clean the device with com-
pressed air, steam or water jet devices.
– Do not use petroleum, benzene, tur-
pentine, acetone, cleaners with solvent
content or sharp-edged objects, such
as wire brushes or sand paper, for
cleaning.

Switch off all mechanical movements, elec-
trical lines and media supply lines and
secure them to prevent them from being
switched back on.

Clean the exterior of the housing with a
clean, dry and lint-free cloth.
7.3.2 Checking the media lines

Check all connections and lines for leaks
and damage and replace if necessary.
Filtering
The prefilters for the supply of media are very fine.
They may become soiled very quickly.
Clean or replace prefilters in the media
lines. See the operating instructions for the
filters.
7.3.3 Re-lubricating the device
Devices with lubrication mechanisms, e.g. lubri-
cating nipples, have to be re-lubricated periodi-
cally.
The intervals for re-lubrication and the lubricant
quantities depend on the usage. Use 500 oper-
ating hours for each grease quantity as a refer-
ence value for ensuring that the bearing is sup-
plied.
