SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE
Maintenance
MUST
only be carried out by a competent person. Ensure that the gas and electricity
supply to the appliance has been turned “
OFF
” before dismantling any components.
Routine Maintenance Procedure:
Check all flame failure devices to ensure that gas is not being issued from
UNLIT
burners i.e. turn on
each individual tap one at a time and release the knob. In this condition no gas should be issued from
any burner.
1)
Turn on all burners and check that the gas pressure at the test point is as stated on the data
plate.
Natural Gas – 15mb (6” wg)
Propane Gas - 37mb (14.8” wg)
2)
Turn on all burners in both full and turn down positions.
3)
Remove griddle plate and splashback surround and ensure burner injectors and air passages are
clear. Replace in reverse order.
4)
Re-grease the gas taps as required and ensure that the barrels are secured by the two niting
screws.
5)
Turn on the gas supply.
Fault Possible
Cause Remedy
Faulty connection at
thermocouple valve.
Make re-connection
Burners will not stay
alight.
Thermocouple incorrectly
located.
Re-position thermocouple
Blockage in tap.
Clean and re-grease.
Burner goes out when
turned too “low”.
By-pass too low
Adjust by-pass screw.
Burner ports blocked
Clean
Irregular flame.
Low pressure.
Check pressure at Test Point.
