23. Reinstall the TIPM to the bracket. Make sure all four
retaining tabs (1) are seated properly.
24. Reinstall the positive battery feed (2) to the TIPM.
25. Reinstall the TIPM cover.
NOTE: Selfadjustment of the hood ajar switch
is a onetime feature.
If the switch is damaged,
ineffective, removed or requires readjustment, it
must be replaced with a new unit.
26. Position the hood ajar switch (1) near the hole in the
mounting bracket (2) on the left inner fender side
shield.
27. Pull the wire harness connector (3) through the switch
mounting bracket (2) and connect it to the hood ajar
switch (1).
28. From the top of the mounting bracket, press the hood
ajar switch downward (1) into the mounting hole of the
bracket until the integral switch latch tabs lock it into
place.
29. Remove the vehicle ground bolt (1) located next to the
battery.
30. Install the hood switch ground harness ground termi
nal and install the vehicle ground bolt (1) back into the
inner fender.
