8. How to use
Hold the device with the opposite hand to the weak leg and with the longer side of the support
base directed toward the inside. Bring the device forward together with the foot of the leg weak
loading the full weight on the stronger leg. During walking, be careful not to place the device nor
too close to the body to avoid tripping over one of tips or too far away to avoid an imbalance.
In case of use on stairs, verify that the size of the step are sufficient to contain the base of
device. After that, the person will have to raise the first leg stronger, subsequently, the device,
then the weaker leg. Down the stairs with the device must follow the injured leg, and finally the
good leg. If necessary, get help from an assistant.
9. Maintenance
The Mopedia devices by MORETTI are checked carefully and supplied with EC mark, once laun-
ched on the market. For patient and physician’s safety we recommend to let check the device by
the manufacturer or by laboratory authorized every 2 years. In case of repair, use only original
spare parts and accessories.
10. Cleaning and disinfection
10.1 Cleaning
Use only a damp cloth to remove dust, use a damp cloth with a mild soap to remove more diffi-
cult dirt. Dry thoroughly before use.
10.2 Disinfection
If you need to disinfect the device use a common disinfectant cleaner

11. Condition of disposal
11.1 General condition of disposal
In case of disposal of the device don’t use the common container for municipal waste. We recom-
mend to dispose the device in the appropriate disposal areas for recycling.
