19. Never sit in the electric wheelchair when it is being used with any type of lift or lifting
device. The electric wheelchair is not designed for this use. The manufacturer is not liable
for any damage or injury caused by improper use.
9.2 Changes
The electric wheelchairs in the ARDEA MOBILITY range by Moretti have been designed and
manufactured to satisfy all your needs for practical, correct and safe use. Do not alter, add,
remove or disable any part or function of the electric wheelchair under any circumstances.
This could cause damage to the electric wheelchair and/or personal injury.
1. The control parameter must only be altered by authorised technicians, for safety reasons.
2. It is recommended to carry out a safety check before every use of the electric wheelchair,
in order to ensure that it is functioning safely.
9.3 Before every use
1. Check the tyres are correctly inflated, if present.
2. Check all the electrical connections and make sure they are properly connected and not
corroded.
3. Check all the cables and make sure they are connected properly.
4. Check the brakes.
9.4 Weight limits
1. Check the information on maximum capacity in the table of the technical specifications in
this manual or on the label on the device. The power of the electric wheelchair is assessed
according to the capacity.
2. Comply with the weight limits indicated for your electric wheelchair. Exceeding the
maximum capacity invalidates the warranty. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for
injury or damage to property caused by failure to comply with the weight limit.
3. Do not carry passengers on the electric wheelchair, as this could alter the centre of gravity
and cause tipping over or falls.
9.5 Inflating the tyres
1. If the electric wheelchair has tyres, check the air pressure at least once a week.
2. Correct inflation pressure prolongs the duration of the tyres and guarantees better
performance while driving.
3. Do not underinflate or overinflate the tyres. It is extremely important for the tyre pressure
to remain between 30-25 psi (2-2.4bar) at all times.
4. Inflating the tyres with an unregulated air source can cause them to be overinflated and
burst.
9.6 Temperature
1. Certain parts of the electric wheelchair are affected by changes in temperature. The controller
only functions at a temperature ranging between -8 C° and 50 C°.
2. The batteries could freeze at extremely low temperatures and prevent your electric wheelchair
from operating. At extremely high temperatures, the electric wheelchair might only function at
lower speeds, due to a safety feature of the controller that prevents damage to the motor and
other electrical components.
3. Exposing your electric wheelchair to water could cause damage to the electronic or
mechanical components. Water can cause an electronic malfunction and/or premature
corrosion of the electric components and the frame.
