WASHING AND DRYING
If you use lots of heated styling products on your hair, it’s really important that you look after it!! Heated styling
products, like straighteners and hair dryers can cause damage to your hair if they are not used properly.
Washing your hair often is important as it maintains the level of moisture in your hair – this is the key to shiny,
healthy, happy hair!
To avoid unnecessary damage, try and follow these instructions when washing and styling your hair:
01
Make sure your hair is soaking wet and then apply shampoo. Ensure that you massage the shampoo
into your hair and scalp as this will clean your hair.
02
Rinse away shampoo using warm water until the water runs clear and no bubbles are left in your hair.
03
Apply a moisturising conditioner to your hair, paying particular attention to the ends. Rinse thoroughly
using warm water - try not to leave any conditioner in your hair as this can leave it looking dull.
04
Always towel-dry your hair after washing to remove excess water. You should then apply a heat
protection spray as this will protect against heat damage.
05
Let your hair dry naturally for as long as possible before using your hair dryer as this will leave your hair
less frizzy and static.

STYLING INFORMATION
If you want to create a natural look, you can use your hair dryer to style your hair. Blow-drying your hair properly will save you from
needing to use styling appliances like straighteners or curlers. Here’s how to do it:
01
Try and leave your hair to dry naturally for as long as possible. If you are in a hurry, use your dryer on
a fast speed setting to blow away excess moisture as shown in the picture.
02
As your hair begins to dry, ensure the concentrator nozzle is attached and start styling.
03
Use your sectioning clips to divide the hair into manageable sections – the more sections, the more accurate
and easy styling will be.
04
Comb each section through to get rid of any knots and tangles.
05
Use your hair dryer on a high heat / low speed setting, and direct the airflow down towards the tips of your
hair. Try and keep the airflow in this direction, as this seals the cuticle and avoids frizz.
06
Only when the section is thoroughly dry should you move on to the next section. If hair is left damp it will
curl and frizz easily.
07
Once all the hair is dry, hold the ‘Cool Shot’ button to release a blast of cold air. This will help to hold your
style in place.
Headgear Tip
– If you want to get that ‘just out of bed’ look, try holding your head upside down
and drying your hair on a fast speed setting. Flip your head back up and set using the ‘Cool Shot’.
