PREPARING LADDER FOR USE: 

Pull the ladder and platform out and lock it in the out position (see Fig. 

32). The feet of the ladder should be resting on level ground when the 5th wheel’s landing gear are deployed 

and the unit is level. 

PREPARING LADDER FOR TRANSPORT: 

Stow the ladder and platform and lock it in place (see Fig. 

31). Hook-up the tow vehicle to the 5th wheel and lower the 5th wheel down from the landing gear. Check for 

proper clearance between the truck bed rails and the ladder frame mount. There should be a minimum of 5” of 

clearance between the bottom of the ladder frame mount and the top of the truck bed side rails when on level 

ground.
