Disinfection
If it is necessary to disinfect the treadmill, follow the procedures established by your institution.
Do not use liquids on the deck surface.
Adjustments
Tools required: hex wrenches, Phillips screwdriver
WARNING! Catching of clothing.
Secure long hair and loose clothing before using the treadmill or working near the treadmill walking
surface or pulleys.
Belt Tension
Adjust the belt tension whenever the belt slips or moves unsteadily during operation:
1.
Start the treadmill and increase the speed to 2.5 mph.
2.
Hold onto the handrail for balance and walk heavily on the treadmill by marching flat-footed.
a.
If the belt hesitates or lags noticeably, tighten the belt as in steps 3 and 4.
b.
Increase the speed to 4.5 mph (7.1 km/h) and jog onthe treadmill. If the belt hesitates or lags noticeably,
tighten the belt as in steps 3 and 4.
c.
Increase the speed to 6.5 mph (10.3 km/h) and run on the treadmill. If the belt hesitates or lags noticeably,
tighten the belt as in steps 3 and 4.
3.
Locate the two adjustment bolts at the rear of the treadmill.
