5.5 Interpupillary distance adjustment
Due to every eye being uniquely different, adjustment is necessary to evoke the best performance
from the microscope. Interpupillary distance adjustment enables the user to observe the specimen
with both eyes without fatigue.

Before adjusting the interpupillary distance, bring a specimen into focus using the 10x objective.

Adjust the interpupillary distance so that both the right and left field of view become one.
●
This adjustment will enable the user to observe the specimen with both eyes.
Panthera microscopes series are equipped with a swivelling binocular head to provide the
flexibility to adjust the view height for each individual viewer’s convenience (Fig. 13).
