b.  Release pressure on fuse cap and 

extract completely. 

 

c.  Remove fuse from cap by pulling out, 

and insert a new one, ensuring that it  
is 0.5 Amps. 

 

d.  Reinsert the fuse cap.   

 

e.  Repeat step (a.) but turn 1/4 in the 

opposite direction to that indicated on

1.  Adjusting focus tension. 

 

Tension comes pre-adjusted by the manufacturer. The optimum tension point is that which 
allows as smooth a movement possible of the focus knobs, but does not allow the stage to slide 
down by itself.  

 

The adjustment collar (Fig. 2) is situated between the focussing knob (12) and the head.(4). 

 
Loosen the screw situated in the hole on the collar, with the 2mm hexagonal key.  
 
a.  To increase tension turn collar clockwise, to decrease tension turn anti-clockwise.
