3. Before completing the installation- determine the final height
and
fore/ aft position (depth) of the lateral
hip pad relative to the upright plate:
i) The hip pad can be installed onto the upright plate at one of two height positions- see Important note
below.

ii) The fore/aft adjustment of the hip pad will vary depending on the selected pad style- see
Figure 2.0
below.

Once the final mounting position has been chosen, secure the Lateral Hip Pad onto the upright plate using
the hardware provided- refer to
Figure 1.0

PLEASE NOTE:
There are 4 optional lateral hip pads sizes available; the height adjustment remains
common for all pad sizes, however, the for/aft adjustment can vary depending on the style of pad select-
ed. Please refer to
Figure 2.0
below for details on the various pad options and adjustments .
2.0 Installation & Adjustment
Important!

) mounting screws

must
be used to secure the hip pad onto the plate;
if the overall height or depth cannot be achieved via the adjustment in the hip pad, then adjustments must
be made via the stop bar or the mounting bracket.
4. Secure the Lateral Hip Support Assembly into place on the seating system:
i)
for fixed hip supports:
tighten the set-screw in the mounting bracket until it is snug up against the
upright plate (refer to
Figure 1.0
).
ii)
for removable hip supports:
tighten the hand-wheel lock in the mounting bracket until it is snug up
against the upright plate (refer to
Figure 1.0
).
