SPORTS MODE: CONFIGUATION
TURNING ON AGITO
With your batteries installed, it is good practice (but not necessary) to first turn on your MASTER
Controller. Now on the chassis pull up the red E-Stop button on the top of the CORE. Once the system
successfully links between the CORE and MASTER Controller, the start-up initialisation sequence will
begin. The MASTER will ask the user to calibrate the steering, once this is selected the actuators will
start their calibration sequence. At the end of this sequence the CORE is fully powered on and ready to
go. The MASTER will show the main menu screen. For more details see Section 7.
CONFIGURING AGITO SETUP
Once the calibration is complete and the MASTER displays the main menu screen, check that the ‘Drive
End’ and ‘Wheels’ modes are shown correctly on the MASTER Controller screen. If they are not shown
as expected, change these in the Menu, see Section 6, Drive-end Set-up
DRIVING AGITO
AGITO has 2 key control modes of operation, these are set in the ‘Motor Mode’ and ‘Throttle Mode’
settings on the MASTER Controller.
MOTOR MODE
Motor Mode controls whether or not AGITO runs in open or encoded modes of operation. It is
important to recognise the differences that these modes have on the operational characteristics and
available features whilst driving AGITO.
If the AGITO is fully laden its good practice to slightly lift the AGITO while it performs this
calibration. This will reduce unnecessary the wear of the steering actuators and tyres.
When turning on the MASTER Controller be careful not to press any button other than the power
switch, specifically the Throttle Input. On start-up the controller runs through a calibration process,
if the Throttle Input is not centered then the AGITO may accelerate unexpectedly.
The calibration process finishes when the Main Menu Screen appears.
