AGITO Owners’ Manual v1.3 Firmware r4.13
Driving the AGITO along a 5-meter line will confirm that the alignment is correct, if the system does not
follow the line check the mechanical tracking of the “front end”.
Now reverse the AGITO back along the line, if the chassis does not follow the line accurately then
double check the mechanical tracking, take note of the tracking of the “rear end”.
Note: It is important that the steering rack is tight, any “slop” within the steering will result in drift. A
hard impact to one of the wheels can cause “slop” – if your system has excessive movement within the
steering rack then we suggest that you contact Customer Support and book the AGITO Drive-ends in for
a full service.
KICK-UP
Kick-up is a method of adjusting wheel traction and handling by adjusting the angle of the drive-end.
More kick-up at the front will make the AGITO run better over bumps, it also reduces steering response,
calming the AGITO, and making its movement smoother. The AGITO will transfer more weight, as the
front will rise when accelerating and lower under braking. Less kick-up makes the AGITO more
responsive, good for smooth hard surfaces and lower intensity turns, due to less weight transfer. As
standard we supply AGITO without any Kick-up in a flat neutral position.
Note: if operating AGITO without a dedicated “front” it is recommended to keep the Drive-ends in a
neutral position. It is also recommended that Drive-ends are reset to neutral after use.
