Using the cameras with Motion QuickNav 33
Stamping photos with geographical locations and time
You can add geographical information (geotags) or time stamps to your photos’ metadata
and to the photo itself.
You choose whether to add the stamps when you open the viewfinder to take photos. The
Stamp options are located on the bottom right of the viewfinder.
Stamp options
By default, a photo’s metadata includes the filename, file location, dimensions, exposure,
ISO speed rating and more. You enable Motion QuickNav to record geotags and time
stamps from the Camera Options menu.
To enable geotags and time stamps
1. Open the
Motion QuickNav tool bar
then tap the camera icon
to open the
viewfinder.
2. Tap the Options icon
located at the top of the viewfinder then tap the
Picture
Info.
3. Under Geotagging, select
Enable GeoTagging
. If the GPS Com port displays a message,
“GPS device not yet detected,” press
Detect
to associate Motion QuickNav with the GPS
module.
4. Under Stamp, select the font size of the time stamp when displayed on a photo and the
time Stamp Format, tap either
UTC
or
Local Time
. UTC format displays the official
universal time independent of time zones and daylight savings.
