Which Ethernet port do I use for appliance network connectivity?
There are various AirDefense Enterprise server models and the back panels differ slightly. The
AirDefense Enterprise application uses Eth0, which corresponds to Ethernet 0 or 2 on a dual Intel NIC,
and Ethernet 1 on a dual Broadcom NIC. To identify the appropriate Ethernet port, see the list of
platforms below and select the appropriate port:
3.2 Step 2: Power up the Appliance
For the Model 1250 / Model 3650 appliances, you must first press the
On/Off
switch at the rear of the
appliance to the On (1) position. (See previous rear view appliance graphics.) Then, press the
Power
On
button (green LCD check button) for 1 second.

NOTE
When the power cord is connected for the first time, it takes some time
to charge all capacitors and it may take some time before the LCD switch
on front panel becomes responsive. Please wait 10-15 seconds when first
connecting the power cord, then press and hold the On button for
approximately 5 seconds if the server doesn't power up immediately.
