12.1.3 Using the File Browser
Device Operations
The AP-6511 maintains a File Browser enabling an administrator to review the files currently residing on any
internal or external memory locations. Directories can be created and maintained for each File Browser
location and folders and files can be moved and deleted as an administrator interprets necessary.
To administrate files for managed devices and memory resources:
1. Select the
Operations
>
Devices
>
File Browser.
Port
Specify the port for transferring files. This option is not available for
cf

usb1
, and
usb2
. Enter the port number directly or use the spinner control.
This parameter is required only when
Server
is selected as the
Source
.
IP Address
Specify the IP address of the server used to transfer files. This option is not
valid for

, and
usb2
. If IP address of the server is provided, a
Hostname
is not required.
This parameter is required only when
Server
is selected as the

Hostname
If needed, specify a Hostname of the server transferring the file. This
option is not valid for

. If a hostname is provided, an

This field is only available when

field.
Path
Define the path to the file on the server. Enter the complete relative path
to the file.
This parameter is required only when

User Name
Provide a user name to access a FTP or SFTP server.
This parameter is required only when

is selected as the

and the selected protocol is
ftp

sftp
.
Password
Provide a password to access the FTP or SFTP server.
This parameter is required only when

Target
Select the target destination to transfer the file.

if the destination is a remote server, then provide a URL
to the location of the server resource or select
