A scan list that includes only

Digital Private
Line (DPL)
A type of coded squelch using
data bursts. Similar to PL
except a digital code is used
instead of a tone.
Digital Signal
An RF signal that has a pulsed,
or discrete, nature, rather than
a continuous nature.
Dispatcher
An individual who has radio
system management duties.
Dynamic
Regrouping
A feature that allows the
dispatcher to temporarily
reassign selected radios to a
single special channel so they
can communicate with each
other.
Failsoft
A feature that allows
communications to take place
even though the central
controller has failed. Each
trunked repeater in the system
transmits a data word informing
every radio that the system has
gone into failsoft.
