Sending an Emergency Call (Trunking Only)
This feature gives your radio priority access to a talkgroup.
Procedure:
1
Press the preprogrammed
Emergency
button.

The display shows
EMERGNCY
and the current zone or
channel. A short, medium-pitched tone sounds.
OR
An invalid tone sounds, if the selected channel does not
support emergency.

Press and hold the
PTT
button. Speak clearly with your
microphone near your mouth.

Release the
PTT
button to end the transmission and wait for
a response from your dispatcher.
5
Press and hold the preprogrammed
Emergency
button until
your radio exits the Emergency Call mode.
Note:
The timer of this long press can be preprogrammed.
Consult your qualified technician to program the
duration required.
Sending an Emergency Alarm with
Emergency
Call
This feature gives your radio priority access on a channel for
conventional system, and to a talkgroup for trunking system.
Procedure:

Press the preprogrammed
Emergency
button.

The display shows
EMERGNCY
and the current zone or
channel. A short, medium-pitched tone sounds and the
LED blinks red momentarily.
OR
An invalid tone sounds, if the selected channel does not
support emergency.
3
Your radio enters the Emergency Call state when:
You receive your dispatcher’s acknowledgment. The display
shows
ACK RCVD
.
OR
You receive no acknowledgement. The display shows
NO ACK
.
OR
You press the
PTT
button while in the Emergency Alarm
mode.

Press and hold the
PTT
button. Speak clearly with the
microphone near your mouth.
5
Release the
PTT
button to end the transmission and wait for
a response from your dispatcher.
