Text messages are brief messages that you can
send and receive (such as

Where are we meeting?

).

Received messages appear on your phone
display or in your text message inbox.

You must set up the text message inbox before you can
send and receive these messages. The number of
messages the inbox can hold depends on message length
and the number of other messages and drafts stored in
your phone.

Note:

Your service provider may have already

programmed the text message inbox settings for you.

Sending Messages

You can send text messages to 1 or more recipients. You
can manually enter the recipient’s phone number, or select
the number or numbers from the phonebook or recent calls
lists.

Shortcut:

While dialing (with digits visible in the display),

you can press

 >

Send Messages

 to create a text message

addressed to the number entered.
