Settings
Reserved
Bits 31–7
Reserved—These bits are reserved and should read 0.
3VOLT
Bit 6
3 Volt SIM Card
—This bit is used to configure the transmit pin as
bi-directional allowing the Receive pin to be re-used as General
Purpose I/O. This operation is restricted to the 3 V SIM card. In
addition, the MC9328MX1 SIM I/O must operate at 2.7 V in this
mode.
Note:
This bit must not be changed when the receiver or
transmitter is enabled.
0 = SIM card requires both
transmit and receive pins
1 = Transmit pin is
bi-directional. Port 0
receive pin is unused
SCSP
Bit 5
SIM Card Clock Stop Polarity
—Used to control the polarity of the
idle SIM clock when the clock is disabled by SCEN. It will be forced
low by hardware during the auto powerdown sequence. This
forces the clock be a logic 0 when stopped by auto powerdown as
required by the ISO 7816 specification.
0 = Clock output is low (0)
when stopped by SCEN
1 = Clock output is high (1)
when stopped by SCEN
SCEN
Bit 4
SIM Card Clock Enable
—Used to enable/disable the clock to the
SIM card. It can be forced low by hardware during the auto
powerdown sequence.
0 = SIM card clock disabled
1 = SIM card clock enabled
SRST
Bit 3
SIM Reset
—Used to control the state of the reset line to the SIM
card. It can be forced low by hardware during the auto powerdown
sequence. SIM card reset inputs are active low.
0=SIM card reset inactive
1=SIM card reset active
STEN
Bit 2
SIM Card Transmit Enable
—Used to enable/disable the XMT
data to the SIM card. It can be forced low by hardware during the
auto powerdown sequence.
0 = Transmit data is forced to
zero
1 = Transmit data controlled by
SIM module
