25.6.5 Transmit Status Register
The Transmit Status Register (XMT_STATUS) provides the status of the SIM transmitter and its FIFO.
The bit descriptions and settings for the Transmit Status Register are provided in Table 25-13.
SIM_EN
Bit 0
SIM Enable
—Enables/Disables the entire SIM. The SIM_EN bit must be set
high first whenever the SIM is in use. The SIM enters power saving mode
when SIM_EN is low. All internal circuitry is reset to the default state which
allows maximum saving on the power when the SIM is not in use.

Reserved
Bits 31–7
Reserved—These bits are reserved and should read 0.
GPCNT
Bit 6
General Purpose Counter Flag
—Indicates when the
general purpose counter has reached the value in the
GPCNT register. The GPCNT flag creates an interrupt when
GPCNTM in the INT_MASK register is low. The GPCNT bit is
cleared by writing 1 to it.
0
=
GPCNT time not reached, or bit
has been cleared
1
=
General purpose counter has
reached the GPCNT value
TDTF
Bit 5
Transmit Data Threshold Flag
—Indicates when the number
of bytes in the transmit FIFO is less than or equal to the value
programmed in the TDT bits in the XMT_THRESHOLD
register. The TDTF creates an interrupt when TDTFM in the
INT_MASK register is low.
0
=
Number of bytes in the FIFO is
greater than TFT, or bit has
been cleared
1
=
Number of bytes in the FIFO is
less than or equal to TFT
TFO
Bit 4
Transmit FIFO Overfill Error
—Indicates when the Transmit
FIFO has been written with more than 16 bytes. The TFO flag
creates an interrupt when the TFOM bit in the INT_MASK
register is low. The TFO bit is cleared by writing 1 to it.
0
=
No transmit FIFO overfill error
has occurred
1
=
A transmit FIFO overfill error has
occurred
